Auspicious Dates November 2019

Yi Hai (Yin Wood Pig) begins November 8th, 2019 and ends December 6, 2019. Since 2019 is the “Brown Earth Pig Year,” there will be double yin pig energy this month! yikes!!

It is interesting to consider why a pig and rooster are considered yin animals, while the monkey and dragon are considered yang. Yin and yang were determined by counting the number of toes/claws/hooves per limb an animal had. Odd numbers were thought of as yang animals, and even numbers were yin animals. Thus, the yang signs are the tiger, dragon, and dog each with 5 toes, the monkey with five fingers and the horse with 1 hoof. The yin signs are the ox, rabbit, sheep, rooster, pig with 2 toes and the snake with its forked tongue. The rat has 5 toes on its hind legs and 4 toes on its front legs, so the combined number of toes (9 toes per side total) is odd. These 12 animal signs are arranged in an alternating yang-yin pattern that begins with the rat and ends with the pig . With the pig year, we are approaching the end of both a 12 year and 60 year cycle.

In my New Year’s letter from last January, I predicted, looking back 60 years to 1959 which was also a very weak “yin earth pig” year, that 2020, being a “yang metal rat,” would thrust us into a cultural revolution reminiscent of the 60’s! It is happening worldwide.

I said, “Today, there is chaos on every level; human rights, economics, military aggression, politics, surveillance and fake news. It seems inevitable that 2020 will begin a new revolutionary cycle – we just don’t know how it will manifest yet!” We are getting closer! There is chaos everywhere.

During this transition period, it is really important to stay grounded and remember what is important while we are bombarded daily with so much disinformation.

Time and direction are brought into the mix. In November (after the 8th,) East is the best direction to sit with your back to. It will help you establish harmony, attract cooperation, create good relationships in both business and your personal life and advance your career. When sitting with your back towards these powerful energies, be sure to stay focused, and command of the universe that your wishes be fulfilled. Following are the auspicious and non auspicious days for November. Remember to check whether your sign clashes with the day energy. If it does, the day is not good for you. – ie. – if it is a rabbit day (like Nov.14th) it is not a good day for a Rooster.
