US Election Astrology Tecumseh’s Presidential Curse

  October 8 – November 6th

October is always ruled by dog energy. These Dog months tend to be unstable because we are leaving autumn and entering into the winter season. October,  is frequently called “Black October,” because the stock market usually goes through bouts of instability as the investors feel the uncertainties of the month. During this month, the seasonal fire element begins to die as we move into the colder, wet season of winter, so the dog month is known in Chinese astrology as “the grave of fire.”

In the Four Pillars of Destiny (Chinese astrology), the Dragon and Dog are said to be the rulers of the gates to “Heaven and Hell. The Dog is related to the underground; death, spiritual, occult and conspiratorial matters. It is  interesting that in Greek mythology, Cerberus the dog, guards the gate to  Hades and in Egyptian mythology, Anubis the dog, guards the gate to the Duat. Garm is the name of the Norse Dog who guards the underworld gate. The dog seems to be the chosen animal to guard the gate to Hell! With the Yang Green guard dog of chaos ruling the month, expect to see many revelations from the underworld of religion, politics, economics, fake news and conspiracies trying to come to Light this month, especially with the contentious US presidential election in full swing. The month runs from October 8 – November 6.

In the zodiac, The Dragon and Dog exist in a state of conflict. Each animal has another animal that it is in opposition to, but the most ferocious clash occurs between the Dog and the Dragon. On October 8th we enter a yang Wood Dog month in a yang Wood Dragon year and these energies exist through the election. So, the unrest and conflict written about above is even more intense. To add to this, Trump is a Fire Dog and Kamala is a Wood Dragon. Tim Walz is also a Wood Dragon. Unbelievably, The yearly birth chart for the yang Wood Dragon year 2024 (below) was created on a yang Earth Dog day creating a yearly clash.  Kamala also has a dog and dragon clash in her full birth chart.  If Biden, a water horse, was running there would be very different dynamics.  I  can not believe all the dogs and dragons in this election!!!

On the winter solstice of 2020, December 21st, Jupiter conjuncted Saturn in Aquarius. It was the beginning of the new 20/60/180 year Chinese astrology cycles between Saturn and Jupiter that had not occurred for 800 years and is known as the Great Mutation cycle. it marked the end of a two-hundred-year  era of Jupiter and Saturn uniting in earth signs and moved into a two hundred  year cycle ruled by air. This switch, focusing heavily on material security and resistance to change ushered in an era ruled by the disruption of established order and changes in the way we communicate. Discontent is springing up worldwide and all the powers that be only know how to respond with more security, surveillance, police and war – old earth programming.

If we go back 60 years to 1964 when we last experienced the turmoil of a yang wood dragon year, the Vietnam War was at its height, protests against the war  and student demonstrations were everywhere, Martin Luther King received the Nobel prize for leading non violent resistance against racism, Nelson  Mandela made his speech “I am prepared to die,” and Americans had just  experienced the assassination of their president at the end of 1963. It was a tumultuous time.

And then on top of all of this we have Tecumseh’s Curse!

Knowing that 2020 is one of the election years under Tecumseh’s Curse, I suddenly realized that the 20 year curse cycle also has Geng as the ruling element! Geng, yang metal, is represented by the sword, ax, gun, armor, weapon or money. Think assassinations.

Tecumseh’s Curse, stems from an 1840 dispute between U.S. President William Henry Harrison and Shawnee Indian leader, Tecumseh. Some believe  the curse is the reason that Harrison, and every following president who was  elected in a year ending in zero, died or was prevented from serving in office. Harrison went on to be elected U.S. President in 1840, but never finished his term. He died in office of pneumonia several months after being elected. This pattern of dying in office, or other disruptions, has continued for in 20 year cycle.

In 1860, Abraham Lincoln was elected. He was assassinated in 1865.
in 1880 James Garfield was elected. He was assassinated in 1881.
In 1900 William McKinley was elected. He was assassinated in 1901.
In 1920 Warren Harding was elected. He died in office in 1923.
In 1940, Franklin Roosevelt was re-elected. He died in office in 1945.
In 1960 John Kennedy was elected. He was assassinated in 1963.
in 1980 Ronald Reagan was elected. He was wounded by a would-be assassin’s bullet. Many think Nancy’s astrology worked to nullify the curse.
In 2000, Albert Gore was elected by popular vote (possibly by Electoral College votes as well, ) He never began his term in office.
In 2020, Joe Biden was elected but there has been widespread turmoil towards the end of his term and many are speculating who is actually running  the country.

And …Looking at the i ching for the month we find similar energies!
