Auspicious Days October 2019
Jia Xu (甲 戌,) yang wood dog, begins October 8th, and last until Nov. 6th, 2019. The image of yang wood is that of a lone tree growing out of a hard rocky surface or in a dry barren desert. The roots are often partially exposed and vulnerable. This type of dog energy means time is limited. We can see this pressure everywhere – Brexit, the Impeachment, the Israeli election, Hong Kong, Venezuela, Iran, Saudi Arabia and more.
Unfortunately, the wood dog does not like the controlled, decisive, quick decisions characteristic of it’s opposing metal element (think of an axe chopping wood which is very prevalent in the astrology chart,) so these qualities will tend to be avoided, and the pressure will just get more and more intense as the above situations drag on.
This month is a good time to establish a strong, mindful practice such as meditating, praying, journaling, hiking, running, yoga, or martial arts etc, to stay centered. It’s important to not let yourself be drawn into the worldwide raucous fray, but to develop deep roots within Mother Earth to keep yourself strong, grounded and focused.
Qi Men Dun Jia, “meaning mystical doors”, is the astrology of strategy. It is the astrology that is used to implement Sun Tzu’s powerful “Art of War,” to create fourth dimensional chess! Time and direction are brought into the mix. In October, the tiger deity which gives strength, endurance and power is in the west, so it is best to sit with your back to the west for the month to be supported. We will go further into these strategies in the future!

Following are the auspicious and non auspicious days for October. Remember to check whether your sign clashes with the day energy. If it does, the day is not good for you. – ie. – if it is a Dragon Day (like Oct. 22nd,) it is not a good day for a dog.
