Auspicious Dates May 2019
Ji Si ( Yellow Earth Snake,) begins May 6, 2019, and lasts until June 6, 2019. The Snake month opposes the Pig year, so the whole month may be challenging. However, there are still auspicious days and non auspicious days (relatively speaking of course!!)
As the Yellow Earth Snake brings behind-the-scenes talks, secret negotiations and clandestine activities into the Light of Day, (which snakes are famous for,) each new revelation may bring more confusion and uncertainty into our lives, especially in this Muddy Pig year.

The painting on the left, from an ancient Chinese tomb, has much important symbolism concerning cosmic and earthly cycles. The painting is of two important snakelike demigods; Nuwa and Fuxi.
In Chinese mythology, they were the only survivors of the Great Flood and were ordered by Pangua, the God who divided Heaven from Earth, to bring order out of the prevailing chaos and to create the human race. Their elongated serpent bodies are entwined and are reminiscent of much serpent symbology such as the caduceus, the DNA helix and the Ida and Pingala.
Fuxi, the king, holds the square, as he rules the four cornered Earth, while Nuwa, (his wife and sister) holds the compass (pointing up) as she rules the circling heavens. The painting is loaded with so much symbolism from the masonic connection of the compass and the square to Nuwa, known for repairing heaven after the great flood, (she is closely related to Noah.) The painting is about re- establishing and remembering that we are part of the natural cyclic order of the universe.
With all of the uncertainty, disorder and chaos swirling around us during this current cycle, it is important to remember what is really important. Within each of our individual lives, we can consciously create order and harmony. Choosing the days with the best qi and avoiding those days with clashing energies can help us to realize our goals.
